After months of training, klpac’s Theatre for Young People (T4YP) Ensemble reaches a crucial pit stop in its programme as they gear up for their mid-season workshop performance under the guidance of co-facilitators Mark Beau de Silva and Ho Lee Ching. WIP, will showcase all that the T4YP ensemble members have learned over the past two months from the intensive master classes.
Expect original sketches, devised movement pieces, dance and more from the 16 ensemble members. The workshop performance gives the members an opportunity to experience being on stage, and also receive and work on constructive feedback from theatre mentors before they embark on their final mainstage performance Teenage Dream in July 2018.

haunted house and a stellar concert. The longest and largest haunted house: House of Horror is a 500 meters trail
filled with your worst nightmares among which includes up to 50 characters of horror to haunt you. It also includes
numerous ghostly tricks, over 100 props, and once in a lifetime 4D environmental change such as misty, snowy,
fogs and etc. Mystery Land will be discovered upon escaping House of Horror where Top 6 Malaysian Artists from
different genres such as rock, pop and more will electrify the night with amazing performances. The various other
activities lined up at the Mystery Land are face paints, photo booths, and game booths. F&B vendors with plenty
of delicious food, snacks and beverages will be at service.
#HAUNTFEST aims to integrate a new lifestyle of fun and excitement into people’s everyday mundane routine.
We hope to create a culture where individuals are curious and adventurous about exploring new things to live life
to the fullest. We provide an opportunity for students and young adults that share the interest of Horror and Music

Marina Tan is an artist who strives to understand herself and the world around her — basically, what they teach you in kindergarten. Endee Ahmad adalah seorang seniman yang cuba membawa khabar gembira penawar duka pelupa gundah gulana.
Uthaya Sankar SB
Uthaya Sankar SB graduated from University of Malaya in 1998. He has worked with Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and lectured in a few colleges (1996-2010). Currently, Uthaya is a freelance writer, editor, and consultant. He is keen in doing research and writing about Indian culture in Bahasa Malaysia so it could be read and understood by every Malaysian. His recent books include Malaiur Manikam (2015), Mandala Bicara (2016), Ikan Patin dan Beruang Besar (2017) and Thirukkural dan Megha Duta (2018). Uthaya has always been a controversial figure in the Malaysian literary scene for his outspokenness on many issues. He is the founder of Kumpulan Sasterawan Kavyan (Kavyan Writers Group) which has been actively organising language, literature, arts and cultural events throughout the country since 1999.

Vern Daim
Vernon Daim was born in Taiping, grew up in Kuching, and pursued his undergraduate studies in Edinburgh. Currently he works in Pahang. His poems are published by online literary journals such as Asiatic, Anak Sastra, Eastlit, and Eksentrika. In print, his poems and stories have been anthologised in Readings for Readings 2, Asian Centre Anthology of Malaysian Poetry in English, Everything About Us, Bitter Root Sweet Fruit, and Malchin Testament: Malaysian Poems. He has also read his works at the Georgetown Literary Festival in 2016 and 2017.
Terence Toh
Terence Toh writes newspaper features by day and fiction by night. His ten minute scripts have been shown at the Short and Sweet Theatre Festivals in Kuala Lumpur and Penang: in 2012, his script ‘Shooting Star’ won Best Overall Production at Short and Sweet Penang. His scripts have also been seen in Tales From the Bedroom (2014) and Tales From the Jamban (2017). His ten minute musicals have also been performed at the Short and Sweet Musical festival, where he won Best Libretto in 2012, 2015 and 2016. His fiction has also been published in various local anthologies.

Divya Dixit is a consultant by profession. She enjoys writing and poetry is just another part of it.

Allie Hill
Allie Hill is a graphic designer and illustrator. Over the past 26 years, she has had opportunities to practice her craft in four beautiful cities: Kuala Lumpur, London, Bangkok and Singapore. Late in 2016, her work experience came full circle when her family moved back home to Kuala Lumpur. Allie loves art initiatives that benefit communities and strives to serve with what she has. She also enjoys telling tales, and Just Enough is her second children’s storybook.
Maya Hanum
Malaysian-born singer/songwriter MayaHanum is a soulful performer who’s had a fire for singing and the stage from a very young age. She has been singing professionally for the past few years. Maya also recorded and was featured on the track ‘memang mudah’, with elite Malaysian rapper, Altimet and local icon, Sasi The Don which is available on iTunes and Spotify. Besides singing, maya has also acted in a few stage productions organized by the Penang Players, Actors Studio (Greenhall), Ftalent Academy Showcase and Humano Flamenco, an International Theatrical Production at Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) under the musical direction of reknowned flamenco guitarist Alberto Marin. She is currently based in Kuala Lumpur working on her debut single for her EP whilst pursuing her passion for performance and the stage.

Senja is an all-girl experimental band from bukit damansara. they’re good at working under extreme amounts of pressure and they love spongebob and mcdonald’s. stick with them to watch them grow and they hope that you enjoy the show.
Kita:Orang
Atilla and Luqman, or better known as Kita:Orang, became fairly well-known with their covers through YouTube and Instagram. They are both currently working as songwriters under producer, Audi Mok, with songs in the works to be released sooner than you think. With various genres in their cards, they have been featured at Bernama News Channel’s “Nine 11” show, IIUM’s Radio Show, The Bee Jaya One’s Soundtruck Live, Wondermama’s Upstairs Live, and Morningwood’s Open Mic sessions.

Held outdoors in the nights under a banyan tree at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, you will find poets accompanied with live improvised music by Feel Tu Penting.
No, the poets will not be reading from a piece of paper or from their phones. They will be performing the poems. Entry is free, but there’ll be a beggar going around seeking contributions to support the artistes.
Please bring your own raincoat or umbrella in case it rains. For those who don’t, a giant banana leaf will be provided.
Adriana Manan
Adriana is a playwright-in-progress, writer, researcher, and storyteller. Born, raised, and based in KL, she finds the creative tension of living in Malaysia a rich source of artistic inspiration. She hopes to always remain curious.
Melizarani T. Selva
Melizarani T. Selva is a spoken word poet, showrunner and educator based in Kuala Lumpur. To date, she has performed in six countries and represented Malaysia at the prestigious Commonwealth People’s Forum in London and the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival. Her notable performances include, TEDxGateway in Mumbai and Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. Her first book titled ‘Taboo’ made Top 10 Best-Seller List on Malaysia’s No.1 Online Bookstore (MPH). To date, her poems have been translated in French by Éditions Jentayu and in Bahasa Malaysia by Malaysia’s National Institute of Language and Literature. Presently, she runs Kuala Lumpur’s monthly poetry open mic, ’If Walls Could Talk’, a bilingual poetry slam,‘Slamokrasi’ and teaches performance poetry at international and national schools.
Nana
Under the pen name Nabila Najwa, Nana’s original poems and short stories have been published both on international (USA and Indonesia) and local platforms. They often write and perform in Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, and English. With an avid interest in education through poetry and arts, Nana has also been teaching in Malaysia and even Brunei. They also have self-published zines of their own writing and artwork, and that of others.
Nana was one of the director’s for Ridhwan Saidi’s Teater Modular and has received very positive reviews for their writing and performance for The Human Exhibit: Mentalhealth.
Arief Hamizan & Ali Alasri
After watching a life-changing episode of Ellen, a former pharmacist turned street magician (Ali Alasri) sets out on a quest to achieve immortality in the Tibetan mountains. He recruits his one-time nemesis for the journey, a trainee sandwich artist with a knack for letter-writing (Arief Hamizan). Together, they battle demons, hidden travel fees, and race-based politics, as they struggle to plan their itinerary – discovering the importance of friendship, failure, and true love atop the peaks of the Himalayas.stages & slowly growing as a poet while finishing her manuscript.
