Saya mendengar cebisan kisah-kisah Vikramaditya pada usia kanak-kanak di Aulong Lama, Taiping. Cerita berbingkai dalam tradisi India ini memang panjang dan terdiri daripada 25 cerita asas yang bersambung-sambung. Apabila berkunjung ke rumah saudara-mara yang memiliki koleksi bahan bacaan, saya berpeluang membaca komik dalam siri Amar Chitra Katha, khususnya Vikramaditya (1972) dan Vikramaditya’s Throne (1975). Bagi generasi muda kaum India di Malaysia, filem Vikram Vedha (2017) lakonan Madhavan dan Vijay Sethupathi sedikit sebanyak menimbulkan minat untuk mengambil tahu kisah dongeng Baital Pachisi yang dipercayai ditulis oleh Somadeva pada kurun ke-11 menggunakan Bahasa Sanskrit. Malaysian band to perform at Europe’s biggest electronic music fest!

For those who’re in the dark, Sónar is a three-day electronic and advanced music festival which was started in Barcelona, Spain in 1994 by music journalist Ricard Robles and musicians cum visual artists Enric Palau and Sergio Caballero.
